Communication Summit is a flagship initiative of Bangladesh Brand Forum that gathers professionals, decision-makers and thought leaders from the leading and global industry on a single platform to altercate and share their knowledge and understanding regarding all facets of communication. The event also creates a multidisciplinary medium where the most contemporary inclinations, stratagems, obstacles and elucidations in the field are conferred and conversed. The day long summit considers the challenges revealed by means of case studies, collaborative panel discussions, and intense conferences with smaller groups.

Bearing the theme, “Creative Leap in the Age of Disruption”, the 9th edition of the Communication Summit is scheduled to take place on 3rd August, 2019. The summit brings experts from the most sought after companies, upholding a standard of premium level. It enables the local conglomerates attain the proficient knowledge to be applied in real life, inspiring the nation to be a better place.

Tay Guan Hin

David McCaughan
Co-founder, Marketing Futures

In Bangladesh, David McCaughan is the Co-Founder of Marketing Futures, Initiative of Ideamax Creatives Limited. Based in Bangkok, David has been the Chief Strategy Officer at Ai. Agency. He has spent the last three decades working across the Asia Pacific leading strategic planning and in senior management roles with McCann, one of the world’s largest advertising and communication companies. Earlier he started his own consultancy, Bibliosexual in 2015.

From 1986, in his native Sydney and from 1995 based across Asia (living in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo), he helped build the Strategic Planning function and managing region wide accounts for McCann Worldgroup. He led regional strategy and communication campaign development for clients including Coca-Cola, General Motors, L’Oreal, Hawley & Hazel, MasterCard, Nestle, Cathay Pacific, Sunstar, Hitachi, Johnson & Johnson and many others.



Surjo Dutt
National Creative Director, FCB Ulka

FCB Ulka appointed Surjo Dutt as national creative director. He was with Sapient Nitro previously, as head of creative for Delhi. He had joined Sapient in early 2015, after a 16-year stint at J. Walter Thompson, which ended in October 2014. Also, he was VP and ECD of the WPP agency’s Delhi office.

Surjo Dutt played a key role in the most successful year for Sapient Nitro’s advertising business since its’ inception in India. The Delhi office won marquee creative projects for brands like Nestle, British Airways and Philips during his 15-month stint.

Some of the brands Dutt worked on included Pepsi, 7UP, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, Slice, Tropicana, Frito Lay, Nestle, Airtel, Nokia, GSK, Hero Motocorp, UNICEF, CONGRESS, NOKIA, Hamdard and RADIKAL. He was also a part of JWT’s global High Performance
Group for 2 years.
