How Radio Foorti Became the Most Popular FM Radio Brand

With hip and happening music, cheerful, fresh and energetic RJs, Radio Foorti began its journey on 22nd September 2006 and since then, has grown to be the strongest FM brand in Bangladesh. Radio Foorti stays true to its motto, “Don’t Stop the Foorti” by hosting interactive radio programs and always staying up-to-date with the youth of Bangladesh.

In the recently held Best Brand Award 2015 organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum, Radio Foorti has been recognized as the best FM Radio Brand in Dhaka, based on a survey carried out by Millward Brown Bangladesh. Following is the brand story of Radio Foorti behind this success.

Radio Foorti is one of the first FM stations to launch after the government of Bangladesh permitted broadcast of commercial radio stations in late 2005. Along the FM radio stations, Radio Foorti now caters to the growing radio-aware crowd of the country. With the highest level of listenership, Radio Foorti’s leadership is dominating irrespective of the socio economic classes, genders, age groups and regions. Its maintaining double digit growth over the last couple of years with major review share of the industry.

Radio Foorti has targeted the youth since its inception and has met success from the very start. Currently the market leader in the category, Radio Foorti has the highest listenership 78.6% as per NMDS-2014 by ACNeilson (it was 72.4% according to NMS-2013). Radio Foorti won 2 COMM Awards in different categories in 2014. It was also awarded as Super brand in Bangladesh.Radio Foorti App,downloaded over +100K, reaching now Bangladeshi, and Bangali diasporaaround the world. Conversely, our activity in Digital is also commendable. With a 3M organic fan followers and an average2.2M overall Reach, Radio Foorti Facebook page is one of the most interactive pages in Bangladesh. With approx. 77% geographic area having 83% country population coverage Radio Foorti is maintaining the country’s Largest Private FM network. Presently it has 10 stations domiciled at Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Bogra, Khulna, Barisal, Cox’s Bazar, Noakhali, and Mymensingh.
