SUCCESS STORY OF A BANGLADESHI BRAND FEATURED BY FACEBOOK BUSINESS

Recently campaign case study of a Bangladeshi brand ‘Khaas Food’ got featured as a success story at Facebook Business. It’s the story of a campaign that boosted sales of Khaas Food by 45%!

Khaas Food is an e-commerce company that serves fresh and organic food. Khaas Food sells its own branded products as well as product of other brands. The unique set of products are made from natural and organic ingredients. Honey with nuts and Black Seed Money are a few from its enticing shelf.

The target was to grow its base – increase sales by 25% and customer base by 20%. The solution – “Flavoring a new strategy”.

GEEKY Social, their agency took upon a 2 phased strategy to boost its sales. Firstly they focused on increasing sales to the existing customer base followed by reaching the untapped portion of the target market.

To impress its existing customers they created a series of Photo and Carousel ads featuring some of its bestselling products. Khaas Food had pixel installed in its website to keep track of the visitors from last 3-6 months. They created a custom audience of the website visitors and showed them the carousel ads. Customers could now scroll along horizontally in their Facebook newsfeed to explore Khaas Food products. Then it targeted dynamic ads depending on the products the customers were interested in.

To increase Khaas Food’s sales outside its existing customers, GEEKY Social created a lookalike audience based on its current customers. As the word sounds, lookalike audiences are audiences with similar attribute to your loyal market. It ran a brand awareness campaign, attracting them with photo and carousel ads of diverse food products. Because of the uniqueness in many products, the campaign caught on. They also ran a placement optimization across Facebook family of apps. And services to reach prospective customers on Instagram and Facebook Audience network.

The results?

By applying the 2 phased campaign from April to September 2017 Khaas Food reached:

  1. 45% increase in sales
  2. 40% increase in new customers
  3. 42% increase in return on ad spend

The campaign is testament to the fact that great business is a combination of product innovation and marketing innovation.
