The programme recognises and honours exporters from Bangladesh for their contribution to the sustainable growth of Bangladesh through export. Exporters can nominate themselves for the title of \u2018Exporter of the Year\u2019 in four categories by filling in a simple nomination form. The four categories of HSBC Export Excellence Awards are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Exporter of the Year &#8211; RMG and Textiles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>o Group A: Annual export turnover US$50 Million or more<\/p>\n<p>o Group B: Annual export turnover less than US$50 Million<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 Exporter of the Year- EPZ Enterprises: Companies in the Export Processing Zones of Bangladesh<\/strong> Companies in the Export Processing Zones of Bangladesh<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 Exporter of the Year-Traditional and Emerging Sectors: Annual export turnover (non RMG\/<\/strong> Annual export turnover (non RMG\/Textiles) US$5 Million or more<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 Exporter of the Year- SMEs: Annual export turnover (non RMG\/Textiles) less than US$5 Million<\/strong> Annual export turnover (non RMG\/Textiles) less than US$5 Million<\/p>\n<p>Through a sophisticated process of adjudication by an independent panel of jury members, winning exporters are selected based on not only the annual contribution to the national exports but also on the diversity, responsibility, sustainability and governance strengths of their respective businesses. HSBC does not get involved at any stage of the winner adjudication process of this awards programme. All exporters from Bangladesh are welcome to participate in the HSBC Export Excellence Awards programme.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on HSBC\u2019s commitment on promoting the excellence of Bangladeshi exporters, Andrew Tilke \u2013 Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bangladesh said \u201cHSBC has 150 years of experience in facilitating global trade and this enables us to help businesses thrive and connect to global opportunities. We are pleased to provide a platform for Bangladeshi exporters to showcase their capabilities and global potential.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the programme, Md. Mahbub-ur-Rahman \u2013 Head of Corporate Banking of HSBC Bangladesh said \u201cThe excellence of entrepreneurs of Bangladesh is often best displayed by the exporters. They make Bangladesh more international. The journey of Bangladesh export has been a success story and the relentless efforts of our exporters helped Bangladesh being recognised as a country of great potentials across the globe. HSBC Export Excellence Awards is our humble way of recognising their contribution and showcasing their excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talukdar Noman Anwar \u2013 Country Head of Communications of HSBC Bangladesh also spoke at the launch conference. Nomination form and other details of the programme are available in www.hsbc.com.bd\/eea website. Exporters can also nominate other exporters for any categories of the programme.
