To bring transformational change in the digital marketing space, Bangladesh Brand Forum has successfully organized the 5th Digital Marketing Summit. Meghna Group of Industries presented this year\u2019s summit which was attended by around 400 professionals. Theme for the summit was \u2018Delving Deep into Digital\u2019. Powered by Content Matters and organized in association with The Daily Star, the daylong summit took place at Le M\u00e9ridien Dhaka. The summit was followed by second Digital Marketing Summit in the evening, where best digital works were awarded in 16 categories.<\/span><\/p>\n

Initiated in 2014 by Bangladesh Brand Forum, the Digital Marketing Summit is the apex platform for country\u2019s digital marketers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shariful Islam, Founder & MD of Bangladesh Brand Forum inaugurated the summit. He said, \u201cDigital is going to make or break any brand. We are just scratching the surface of broader digital echo system. Through Digital Marketing Summit, we are trying to share different perspective from around the world and raise some question in everyone\u2019s mind which will be the only way to figure out this new phenomenon.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Also spoke at the event, Md Mohiuddin, General Manager, Brands, Meghna Group of Industries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fifth edition had 5 global speakers, who came from different regions of the world and shared knowledge. Alongside, there were 22 local experts who discussed on multiple topics. Multiple panel discussions, breakouts, insights and many more engagements gave the summit premises a school-like ambience. Experts discussed on how to use data to craft digital marketing strategy, how to prepare digital ad budget, communicate responsibly with digital consumers and much more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keynote speakers were \u2013 Oobah Butler<\/strong>, Director & Founder, The Number 1 Agency, UK; Dr. Donald Patrick Lim<\/strong>, Country CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network, Philippines; Yogesh Shroff<\/strong>, Commercial Director, Exports and E-commerce, Nivea India Pvt Ltd.; Rajan Srinivasan<\/strong>, Founder & CEO, Spiral Content Solutions (Scatter); and Dolly Jha<\/strong>, Executive Director, Nielsen India.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were insight sessions covered by Shihab Ahmed<\/strong>, Chief Digital Services Officer, Robi Axiata Limited, and Ayman Sadiq<\/strong>, Founder and CEO, 10 Minute School. A case study was presented by Agne Svetnickaite, <\/strong>Business Development Manager, Asia, Eskmi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, there were two breakout sessions that engaged smaller groups of audience. The breakout sessions have been hosted by \u2013 Content Matters and ChatLeads. The breakout session by Content Matters had Syed Gousul Alam Shaon, <\/strong>Country Head & Managing Partner, Grey Bangladesh; Tanveer Faruq, <\/strong>PhD in Digital Marketing, Adjunct Faculty, Independent University, Bangladesh; Aman Ashraf Faiz\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Managing Director, GTV, Director, Content Matters Limited. Breakout session by ChatLeads had Shadab Mahbub, CEO, ChatLeads as the speaker.<\/span><\/p>\n
