78 DIGITAL CAMPAIGNS AWARDED AT DIGITAL MARKETING AWARD 2020

The fourth edition of Digital Marketing Award honoured 78 digital campaigns through a grand virtual award gala on Saturday, December 12. An initiative of Bangladesh Brand Forum, Digital Marketing Award 2020 was presented by Meghna Group of Industries, powered by Httpool and in association with Evaly & The Daily Star. The award gala was attended by 1000 digital marketing enthusiasts. The awards were given across 16 categories, in three ranks – Gold, Silver and Bronze. This year we didn’t have any Grand Prix in Digital Marketing Award 2020.

Digital Marketing Award is the only accolade for digital works in Bangladesh. This year, more than 650 nominations were submitted for the award. Among these 285 got shortlisted by five jury panels and 78 were selected as the ultimate winners by another six grand jury panels. This year we didn’t have any Grand Prix in Digital Marketing Award 2020.

Mr, Asif Iqbal, Deputy Managing Director (FMCG), Meghna Group of Industries Ltd. congratulated all the creative fraternity for their continuous efforts and stated “We know there will be a lot of developments will come through digitization & innovation. Indigenous and adapted innovations will drive the business in the future.”

Regarding this year’s Digital Marketing Award jury process, Shariful Islam, Founder & Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum stressed, “Digital is already a way of life for the millennium and digital natives. While marketers are trying to embrace digital in every facet of their brand-building activities, we need to realize that the human connection needs to be at the center of everything that marketers do to thrive in this new ecosystem.”

This year’s Digital Marketing Award had 78 winners. There were 9 Gold awards, 26 Silver awards and 43 Bronze awards. This year the highest number of awards was won by Mindshare Bangladesh, A concern of Asiatic 360 with a total of 14 awards, which was followed by Analyzen and X Solutions Ltd. who won a total of 08 awards individually.

About this year’s Digital Marketing Award, Nazia Andaleeb Preema, Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum stressed, “In this era of dual existence of digital and physical dimension, we need to activate our human emotions more.  For marketers & creative professionals, digits should be transformed into emotions to connect, react and respond. Digital content is the next era of innovation for new marketing possibilities.”

The 4th Digital Marketing Award 2020 was also preceded by the 7th Digital Summit. Initiated in 2014 by Bangladesh Brand Forum, the Digital Summit is the apex platform for the country’s digital marketers. This year’s summit was attended by more than 300 professionals. The theme for the summit was ‘Bringing Digital at the Core’. The aim of the summit was to bring it forward why every company small and big need to bring digital at the core of their business from understanding their customer, creating solutions for them, and in delivering those solutions to them.

The summit consisted of 6 Panel Discussions, 5 Keynote Sessions, 3 Insight Sessions, 2 Case Studies, and the speakers joined from different regions of the world and shared knowledge. Alongside, there were notable local experts who discussed multiple topics.

The keynote speakers of the session were – Rishad Tobaccowala, Author, Restoring the Soul of Business: Staying Human in the Age of Data; Former Chief Growth Officer, Member of Management Committee, Publicis Groupe; Former Chairman, Digitas LBi & Razorfish; Kazi Monirul Kabir, Country Director, Httpool; Francis Nicholas, Group Digital Director, Nomad Foods; Varun Bhandakar, Manager, Customer Success, Australia & New Zealand Hubspot & Vita Garlfulina, Business Development Director, Eskimi.
