Honorable COO A.K.M. Ziaul Islam Receives Lifetime Achievement Award at Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2025
At the same event, A.K.M. Ziaul Islam, Chief Operating Officer of Meghna Ceramic Industries Ltd., received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
With over four decades of service, he has played a pivotal role in the growth of Bangladesh’s ceramic industry, developing nine factories – corporate, govt. and non govt. sectors and contributing nearly 15% of the country’s installed ceramic capacity. A BUET graduate and the only Bangladeshi professionally trained in “Technology of Manufacturing Tiles” in Czechoslovakia, his technical expertise and visionary leadership have shaped major organizations including BCIC, Bashundhara, ATI, Mirpur Ceramics, Akij, and MGI.
