G&R Serves 1 Billion Ads per Month

Bangladeshi Ad Network G&R is now serving over 1 billion ads per month, across more than 5 thousand Bangladeshi websites and apps.

How big is a billion? If a billion kids made a human tower, they would stand up past the moon. If you sat down to count from one to one billion, you would be counting for 95 years. If you found a goldfish bowl large enough hold a billion goldfish, it would be as big as a stadium. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

Bangladesh is witnessing a phenomenal growth in internet audiences in last few quarters. This also accelerating more businesses to go online. More people are now using internet to buy groceries; e-commerce platforms are getting more orders than ever. Serving 1 billion ads in one month is a milestone for G&R and a pragmatic step towards achieving its goal to make the internet more meaningful in Bangladesh – for general audiences, content creators, publishers and advertisers.

Internet audiences now a days, are not only using social media platforms, but also spending time at different local web platforms. As per G&R insights, 51 million local internet users are visiting local websites at least once in a month. The strongest part is, at least 60% of them could be considered as regular users as they go online multiple times in a week.

Mobile is the strongest arm of G&R. According to data, around 72% of those 51 million local internet users are browsing from their mobile device. These are the users who interact and engage with the content most.

“The phenomenal inventory growth of G&R clearly demonstrates that local publishers increasingly value the unique advertising technology solutions that we provide”, said Ayub Shahrear, Head of Partnerships. “We think that, especially in an extremely challenging macroeconomic digital environment, we are perfectly positioned to continue to meet this need for an ever expanding number of publishers”, he added.
