“Augmedix” Announced as Software Technology Park

Augmedix Bangladesh office building has been designated as a Software Technology Park (STP). The announcement was given at a colorful celebration event of Augmedix on its one year operations in Bangladesh held at Augmedix Building, Dhaka on May 19, 2016; Thursday evening. They also launched their new logo at the event along with new branding of Augmedix Bangladesh office building. The program was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Honorable State Minister Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications & Information Technology. Mr. Shyam Sunder Sikder, Honorable Secretary, ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications & Information Technology and Mr. Kazi Md. Salahuddin, President of Bangladesh Football Federation were also present as Special Guests. Mr. Ahmadul Hoq, Managing Director, Augmedix BD Ltd. chaired the event. The company declared their future plan to create around 7000 jobs in Augmedix Bangladesh office immediately.

Two brilliant young minds Ian Shakil, CEO and Pelu Tran, President and Co-founder are behind this groundbreaking concept. This San Francisco based startup has established a firm foothold in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) both in India and Bangladesh. The company is expanding rapidly and globally and has confirmed their future expansion plans in Bangladesh to create around 7000 jobs with the support of the ICT Ministry and the High Tech Park authority.

Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, Honorable State Minister of ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications & Information Technology said, “We have designated the Augmedix Building, as a ‘Software Technology Park’. This is yet again another way our government to attract foreign investment like Augmedix.”  

He also added, “Augmedix’s future expansion plans in Bangladesh to create around 7,000 Bangladeshi medical science related employment for our youths are great and I am pleased to tell you that our ICT Ministry, through LICT program has signed an agreement to provide all the trained people that Augmedix will ever need.”

State Minister also said, “I am proud that the founder, Ian Shakil, is a Bangladeshi and has made Bangladesh the strategic country from which to provide its services to its providers (clients).”

Mr. Shyam Sunder Sikder, Honorable Secretary of ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications & Information Technology said. “We are working for the better and rapid development in ICT industry of Bangladesh. Along with the Government, the Private Software Technology Park is a major driver for the ICT growth acceleration. The ICT Ministry and the High Tech Park authority always appreciate the initiative like Augmedix.”

As a special guest at the event Mr. Kazi Md. Salahuddin, President of Bangladesh Football Federation said, “It’s really a great economic investment in Bangladesh. Announcement of around 7000 job creation within very short time in a single IT company in Bangladesh is a matter of being proud for us.”

Mr. Ahmadul Hoq, Managing Director, Augmedix BD Ltd. said, “We are providing technology based innovative and borderless service from Bangladesh and getting huge positive feedback.” He also added, “Augmedix is expanding rapidly and globally and we have future expansion plans in Bangladesh to create around 7000 jobs with the support of the ICT Ministry and the High Tech Park authority.”
