Bangladesh Brand Forum is delighted to introduce the first-ever Bangladesh C-Suite Awards 2022. The initiative is created to recognize and celebrate the achievements of exceptional Bangladeshi business leaders. This highly respected award honors an Executive (C-Suite/Managing Directors etc.) in Bangladeshi business who exemplifies integrity, insists upon excellence, earns the trust of others, and has built a competitive organization.
The honoree will be selected by a distinguished advisory board comprised of eminent business leaders and also by a professional audit board based on the following criteria:
- Management Achievement – Describe the diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives of the organization (For the respective functions) taken by the Nominee and how these have helped to improve the organization. How well cross-functional role has been played by the C-suite Executives? Examples include growth and new business, reporting departments, supporting documentation should include comparison data over previous years, news articles, company website screenshots, internal newsletters, etc.
- Business Performance: The nominee must have demonstrated vision and leadership over several years. Financial information (CEOs & MDs)/respective functional information for the C-Suite Executives and comparison on (Year of Year/Quarter by Quarter) is an important indicator of success for the nominee. This information has to be from the nominee’s point of view, and how her/his role and leadership have contributed to it. The Advisory Board and Audit Board will examine financial/business statistics for the nominee’s organization for the past three fiscal years.
- People Centricity: The nominee needs to demonstrate a mindset shift amongst the management team, and in some cases even if it requires the nominee to take the lead to change in processes and procedures, typically when it comes to decision-making, Is the C-suite Executive open to 360 Feedback and how does he implement it. This phase shall also reflect nominees’ leadership to make the organization/management/department more people-centric. Respective Initiatives according to Function taken by the Nominee and the outcomes of those initiatives will be highly valued here.
- Innovation: Has the nominee undertaken any unique or innovative approach/solution in the last 1 or 2 years? What are the major products and/or services/or solutions taken by the nominee in their respective functions? Why is it unique and how has it demonstrated excellence in its respective field?
- Social/Community Responsiveness: A truly outstanding Business Leader uses her/his private sector skills and creativity to help the society and community overcome social or environmental problems.a. Organizational: In this phase nominees’ devotion to Societal Commitment / Sustainability/ Community Engagement in a professional capacity and linking respective organization/management/department to that will be highly regarded.b. Personal: On a personal level what the C-Suite Executive has done for the society/community going beyond professional duties.
- Humane:a. CEO/MDs: What new initiatives the CEO/MDs has taken in the last 1-2 years which position her/him as a humane leader. (Such as 1. Supporting/Improving Mental Health of Employees, b. Gender Diversity/Inclusivity etc.)b.Other C-Suite Executives: What Initiatives the Nominee has taken which was beyond her/his role (Such as 1.Mentoring/Coaching employees, 2. New Initiative beyond the functional job, etc.)
- Recognition – Provide any recognitions received by the executive related to her/his achievements and organizational improvements. Supporting documentation could include internal reports, newsletters, media coverage, etc. Include the name of the awarding organization, title of award, and year.
WHO CAN BE NOMINATED
Only C-Suites/Managing Directors of Local Companies & MNCs /NGOS/Startups/Privately Owned Organizations can be nominated. This excludes CEOs of government institutions and agencies and religious organizations. In order to forestall excessive diffusion of nominations, eligible nominees must be Executives of enterprises that are in any of the following:
- Companies listed on the Bangladesh/Dhaka/Chittagong Stock Exchange
- Members of FBCCI
- Members of BGMEA
- Members of FICCI
- Members of BKMEA
- Members of MCCI
- Members of any Regional Trade Body (DCCI, CCCI, SCCI etc.)
- Members of BASIS
- Members of Association of Bankers
- Members of Bank Bangladesh Association of Banks
- Members of any Notable Local/International Trade Body (Such as AmCham, ICMAB, ICAB, ECAB, Startup Bangladesh, or in any Recognized Trade Body)
Process of Award Programs will be:
- Nomination Submission
- Nomination Shortlisting
- Professional Audit Board to reaffirm the shortlisted candidate’s validity by auditing.
- C-suites will be judged by a group N-1 team members on specific questionnaire.
- Final Audited Report to Present before the Advisory Council for Winner Selection.
