COCA-COLA BANGLADESH CONTRIBUTES 12 BILLION TO THE BANGLADESH ECONOMY

Based on the methodology developed by Nobel Laureate Wassily Leontief,  Steward Redqueen recently published an assessment on its impact on Bangladesh. Coca-Cola commissioned Steward Redqueen for the socio-economic analysis for shedding light on the magnitude of impacts Coca-Cola has had on Bangladesh.

According to the socio-economic report, Coca-Cola Bangladesh’s total contribution is equivalent to 0.1% of Bangladesh’s GDP. For every 1 Tk spent by consumers on Coca-Cola beverages in Bangladesh, 0.85 Tk value was added to the economy.

The Coca-Cola system has reportedly supported 22,100 jobs in the entire country. Moreover, each directly generated job has gone on to support 26 more across the country’s economy.

From production house to consumers, a bottle of this global favourite beverage has created and enhanced value for a plethora of sectors including trade, agriculture, transportation, retail, advertising, media, and so on.
