Sajib Bhattacharjee, Head of Innovation Projects, Bangladesh Innovation Conclave handed over the cheque to Arka Chakraborty, member of the Champion team JUTENUM.
Team JUTENUM was the Champion. The team members are Arka Chakraborty from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology & Tanzid Ahmed Mihad from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology. They are making paper from jute. In the current scenario, traditional paper industries are using wood pulp to make paper, and for this reason every year an uncountable number of trees are being cut down. But when we can use jute, we will be able to save those trees from being cut down. And Bangladesh has plenty of jute but we don’t use them properly. By using jute in the papermaking industry, they are saving those trees from being cut down and also making a renovation of the jute industry. Heartiest Congratulations JUTENUM!
