The Riseup Labs conducted a seminar titled “Rising Gaming Industry in Bangladesh” in partnership with the AIUB Computer Club (ACC). The objective of the session was to familiarize attendees with the gaming industry and its tools. The session commenced at 3:00 PM in the Multipurpose Hall (D – Building) of the American International University-Bangladesh.
The session began with an opening speech by Mr. Rafiquzzaman, the Head of Product Development at Riseup Labs. He discussed various aspects of the Bangladeshi gaming industry, including the study of different games and plans, game design, Game Design Documents (GDD), marketing strategies within the gaming sector, emerging assets, resource augmentation, and other consequential criteria. Mr. Rafiquzzaman also presented statistics on the potential revenue growth of the gaming industry, projecting an increase from 8.4% to 18.23% between 2017 and 2027. He further acquainted the audience with the purposes of gaming platforms and provided a brief overview of their organization.
Subsequently, Mr. Wasif Zaman, a Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer at Riseup Labs, took the floor to share his perspective on software quality and testing within the gaming industry, along with Riseup Labs’ approach to software quality measurement. Mr. Zaman presented specific use cases and elaborated on them to offer the audience a clear understanding of software quality assurance.
Mr. Jamil Mahmud, the Product Manager of Riseup Labs, then discussed the intricacies of product management. He narrated the process of managing a product, starting from idea generation, product design, and development, to testing, deployment, and marketing to achieve successful product goals. Mr. Mahmud also highlighted Riseup Labs’ ongoing commitment to taking on new challenges and producing software products for a global audience.
Mr. S. M. Raihan Gafur, a Software Engineer specializing in Back-End Development (Node.js) at Riseup Labs, shared his experience in developing an exclusive Riseup Labs product, Jeeto.Online. He also introduced Jeeto.Online’s campus activation program, which had its initial launch at AIUB. Mr. Gafur elaborated on the evolving marketplace, popular gaming platforms, industrial opportunities, and regulatory bodies within the gaming industry, while also describing Jeeto.Online’s mission and vision.
