2018
Samsung Bangladesh collaborated with Fair Group and constructed a 58,000 square feet state-of-art assembly plant in Narsingdi, employing more than 2,000 people. The company has invested more than BDT 1,000 crores in the factory and targeted to assemble 4G-enabled smartphones—the initial target of producing 50 lacs units yearly.
The company brought Galaxy J2 4G to Bangladesh.
2019
Samsung celebrated its 50 years by giving love back to its customers and stakeholders. Samsung Bangladesh organised a campaign where participants shared their stories about the company’s products through which winners received gifts and cashback. 96% of the Samsung smartphones sold in Bangladesh are assembled in the Narsingdi plant. It endorses the nation’s fast-improving assembling capabilities.
2020
Amid the pandemic, Samsung launched its online ordering platform for official smartphones and tablets. (https://galaxyshopbd.com). The platform provides delivery nationwide within 72 hours.
2021
Samsung commences its official website in Bangladesh, allowing users to get valuable information about smartphones, tablets, watches, television, sound devices, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens, air purifiers, and other accessories.
2022
Samsung brought Galaxy S21 FE 5G smartphones, one of the first 5G phones manufactured in Bangladesh. It featured top-notch specifications and provided powerful performances. To stay relevant, Samsung Bangladesh joined the celebration of the inauguration of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge through a campaign where participants would capture photos with their Samsung smartphones. The winner received a brand-new Galaxy S22 Ultra, whereas the 2nd to 10th position holders got Galaxy Tab A. Additionally, to enhance the hype of FIFA 2022, Samsung Bangladesh launched a fan contest, ‘Galaxy Goal Challenge,’ through which users can score as many goals as possible with the help of AR ad win exciting prizes every week.

Samsung manufactured the Galaxy Z Series handsets in Bangladesh and made them available for the nation’s market.
