1st National Agricultural Olympiad Aims to Cultivate Sustainable Leaders

Agricultural Olympiad has initiated the 1st National Agricultural Olympiad, scheduled from 01 February to 16 March 2024, in collaboration with AGREEN Foundation and Smart Bangladesh Network. This pioneering initiative seeks to cultivate awareness and interest in agriculture among school and college students.

Encompassing a broad spectrum, including agricultural mechanization, food technology, zoology, fisheries, biodiversity, and environmental protection, the Olympiad aims to involve the youth in the transformation of agriculture into the smart agriculture of tomorrow. Under the theme “Fostering a Smart Bangladesh through Youth Leadership,” the event aspires to equip the younger generation with knowledge in sustainable modern agricultural technology, ensuring food security and better nutrition.

The initiative aims to focus on increasing interest in agricultural science, showcasing real-life applications, introducing contemporary agricultural technology, fostering teamwork, and enhancing nutrition awareness among youth. Looking forward, in the long run the initiative’s vision is to make a significant impact on education and agriculture community, enhancing interest in agricultural science, imparting practical knowledge, stimulating innovative thinking, promoting teamwork, and developing problem-solving skills among students.

The Olympiad’s schedule includes the First Round on 01 March 2024, the Second Round on 08 March 2024, and the Grand Finale on 16 March 2024, hosted at the KIB Auditorium, Farmgate, Dhaka.
