In its 5th edition, Commward has received total 367 nominations from 36 advertising agencies & creative departments of various organizations – the highest number of nominations ever received. Commward is the largest initiative in Bangladesh in recognizing and inspiring creative communication in business and marketing, since 2009.
Organized in association with Cannes Lions Festival of Creative Communication, the largest international event on creative communication since 1954, Commward recognizes the best ad campaigns produced and run in the country every year. Advertising, PR firms, production houses and creative departments of local & multinational companies are invited every year to nominate their most creative & effective ad campaigns run in press, electronic and online media. A number of Jury Panels assess each nomination based on a number of scoring criteria namely: concept, strategy, execution & impact.
In 2014, total 260 nominations were received in 19 categories. This year, Commward is taken a step further to include new categories – summing it up to 21 categories. The categories making their debut this year are: Art Direction & Campaign for Women. Also, a new recognition “Agency of the Year”, will be given this year to the agency earning the highest score on its total win of Grand Prix, Gold & Silver.
A grand award night celebration will take place to announce the winning campaigns, at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on 29th of August. Commward is an initiative of Bangladesh Brand Forum. This year COMMWARD is powered by The Daily Star.
