‘PREEMA DONNA – AN INFINITE JOURNEY’ UNVEILED AT DHAKA LIT FEST

‘Preema Donna – An Infinite Journey’, a book by country’s most progressive, prolific and prominent visual artist Nazia Andaleeb Preema, has been unveiled in the capital. The book is divided into five chapters: Conflict, Wonder, Courage, Vision, and Connection.  Published and produced by Cosmos Books, this book’s foreword has been given by National Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman.

The book shows evidence of Preema’s artistic journey of last two decades. It also illustrates Preema’s brave approach of aesthetical vision that depicts her philosophy of context. The book was unveiled at Dhaka Lit Fest held at Bangla Academy on the 8th of this November.

Nazia Andaleeb Preema is currently working as the Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum, President of Women in Leadership and Founder of Bangladesh Creative Forum. About the book, she asserts, “This publication is my inspiration to be more committed towards my intense journey of creativity. And I dedicate this book to the next generation of creative minds to proceed with their passion in art.”

Preema graduated from Dhaka University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting. She is constantly expressing the representation of women in a metaphorical sense – whether traditional or digital – through her canvas in a poetic manner. This year, she represented Bangladesh on behalf of the Bangladesh Government at La Biennale di Venezia. She has been honored with various awards along with the BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services) award in the Visual Arts category and Anannya award for being an outstanding woman in the creative field.
