On this Saturday the 13th January, Bangladesh Retail Congress 2020 will have its 4th convention which is dedicated to bolstering the development of the retail industry in Bangladesh. This year Retail Congress will have many distinguished speakers and valuable talks and discussions on retail. Amongst them, Hemant Mehta, Managing Director, Kantar, and Chief Strategy Officer, Kantar South Asia is one of the keynote presenters at the event.
Hemant is a consumer behavior specialist and media observer for the last 30 years in the subcontinent and has been working to cope with the continuously evolving consumers and media panorama. He has closely been tracking consumers’ changing purchase habits through the Kantar World panel services that he has spearheaded in the region. He has also pioneered Kantar’s unique, passive e-commerce purchase panel – eMarketPulse.
In the current role, Hemant oversees Kantar’s specialist businesses like Retail, Shopper, B2B & Technology and Media and Digital. Besides building partnerships with third-party data owners, he also superintends Kantar’s businesses overseas, in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
