The 4th Edition of the SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026 has officially opened for nominations. Presented by AkijBashir Group, the award is initiated by Bangladesh Innovation Conclave and organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum and Sustainable Brand Initiative. The call for nominations commenced on 4 June 2026, while the nomination deadline has been set for 25 June 2026. The winners will be honored at the SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026 gala on 18 July 2026.
As Bangladesh advances toward its development aspirations and commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, the role of businesses and brands in driving sustainable transformation has become increasingly critical. The SDG Brand Champion Awards serves as a national platform to recognize and celebrate organizations that are creating measurable environmental, social, and economic impact through innovative initiatives, responsible governance, and long-term sustainability commitments. The initiative highlights organizations that are embedding sustainability into their core business strategies while contributing meaningfully to national development priorities.
The 2026 edition features 19 award categories designed to acknowledge excellence across a broad spectrum of sustainability themes and industry sectors. The categories collectively reflect key SDG priorities, including climate action, clean energy, responsible consumption and production, sustainable communities, decent work and economic growth, diversity and inclusion, women empowerment, and institutional partnerships, alongside sector-specific recognitions for industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, telecommunications, financial services, FMCG, real estate, and ready-made garments. Through this comprehensive framework, the awards seek to encourage organizations to align business growth with sustainable development outcomes and demonstrate their contribution to both national and global sustainability agendas.
To ensure the highest standards of credibility, transparency, and rigor, nominations will undergo a comprehensive evaluation process led by distinguished industry leaders, sustainability practitioners, development professionals, academics, and subject matter experts. The assessment process includes category-level evaluations followed by Grand Jury Sessions, where shortlisted initiatives are reviewed in depth. Through a structured judging methodology, jurors assess submissions based on impact, innovation, scalability, sustainability integration, and long-term value creation to identify the most deserving organizations in each category.
Beyond recognition, the SDG Brand Champion Awards aims to inspire industries and brands to embrace sustainability as a strategic business imperative. By showcasing impactful initiatives, innovative approaches, and best practices from across sectors, the platform promotes knowledge sharing and encourages organizations to strengthen their environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance standards.
