Spread out in more than 130 countries, French oil giant Total has changed its name to TotalEnergies to contribute to sustainable development, throughout all its operations.

As big industries are coming under pressure to reduce carbon emissions, TotalEnergies made a timely adjustment and a welcomed move towards ensuring a greener planet. The energy company produces and markets energies globally including oil, biofuels, natural gas, renewables, and electricity.

According to TotalEnergies, its shareholders almost unanimously got on board to approve this transformation at a meeting held in Paris. The company also adopted a brand new visual identity to embody the resolution to take a step towards resolving climate change.
