Women’s football in Bangladesh today marks the beginning of a new chapter in its sporting journey as Glow & Lovely joins hands with the Bangladesh Football Federation coming in as the official Training & Growth Partner for the Women’s National team.
The partnership was formally announced at a signing ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dhaka where representatives from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), senior officials from Unilever Bangladesh, and members of the women’s national team—including Umehla Marma, Afeida Khandaker Pranti & Yearzan Begum—were present.
Under this agreement, Glow & Lovely—one of the country’s leading skincare brands—will be associated with the Bangladesh Women’s National Football Team’s training and growth journey for the next 2 years. This partnership will go towards facilitating the personal development training for the stars of the Women’s national team. Glow & Lovely’s commitment to women’s advancement has long been at the core of the brand. Through various initiatives across both urban and rural communities, the brand has consistently worked to create opportunities for women—enabling many young individuals to pursue careers and entrepreneurship. The brand believes in empowering women to build their own identity and move forward with confidence. This partnership with the national women’s football team is a natural extension of that belief. As part of this partnership, the Glow & Lovely logo will be featured on official practice and training-related team assets, including training kits and selected BFF-controlled communication platforms.
The recent progress of the Bangladesh National Women’s Football Team has captured the attention of the nation. By winning the SAFF Championship consecutively in 2022 and 2024, and securing qualification for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 through the qualifiers, the team has firmly established its talent on the international stage. We hope this momentum and success will continue in the years ahead.
Speaking on the partnership, Zaheen Islam, Beauty & Wellbeing Head of Unilever Bangladesh Limited, said:
“Glow & Lovely has long been committed to empowering women through growth and development initiatives. Continuing that journey, we are proud to support the team as their Training & Growth Partner for the next two years. We believe these footballers will inspire women across the country to move forward with confidence and ambition. Their achievements will also encourage the next generation of aspiring footballers.”
Describing the partnership as a significant milestone, Tabith Awal, President of the Bangladesh Football Federation, said:
“This partnership with Glow & Lovely is highly significant in terms of brand association and recognizing women’s talent. I believe the brand’s synergy will positively reflect on the players as well. At the same time, women’s football is emerging as a strong ambassador for Bangladesh, as the sport is currently playing a vital role in representing the country’s women on the global stage.”
Highlighting the agreement as a major boost for women’s football and player development, Fahad Karim, Vice President of the Bangladesh Football Federation, said:
“Glow & Lovely is a brand with a legacy spanning more than three decades. Partnering with such a renowned brand is itself a form of strong branding for us. Their support in an important area like Training & Growth Development is truly encouraging. I believe this partnership will inspire not only the current players, but also future generations of footballers.”
Thanking Glow & Lovely for its support, Yearzan Begum, SAFF-winning goalkeeper of the Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Team, said:
“As our training requires us to spend long hours under the sun, it feels great to have a brand like Glow & Lovely standing beside us. We hope to bring home the SAFF Championship trophy once again with their support.”
One of the team’s key midfielders, Umehla Marma, also expressed her excitement about the partnership. She said:
“We are truly happy to have Glow & Lovely by our side. We hope they will continue supporting us in the future as well.”
At the signing ceremony, the captain of the national women’s football team, Afeida Khandaker Pranti, said:
“This is the first partnership of such scale for our team, and I would like to thank Glow & Lovely for their support sincerely. We now have the opportunity to secure a hat-trick title at the upcoming SAFF Championship, and we will strive to make the most of this partnership in achieving that goal.”
Beyond sponsorship, Glow & Lovely will also work towards supporting training, growth, and development initiatives that contribute to the continued progress of women’s football in Bangladesh, according to officials from Unilever Bangladesh.
