The iRist smartwatch runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and the best part is that it can be operated without a smartphone. It comes with a 3G Micro-SIM slot, which means you can make and receive calls with the device by simply pairing it with a Bluetooth headset (included in the retail box). Other connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi (with Hotspot support), GPS, and Micro-USB. iRist smartwatch has a 600mAh battery, which can deliver up to 4 hours of talktime or up to 200 hours of standby time.

This amazing smartwatch also comes with a 1.56-inch, 240×240 display that can display up to 16 million colours and has a sapphire glass protection on top. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572M chipset alongside 512MB RAM and a 4GB internal storage, 1.3GB of which is accessible for user applications and data. It also supports microSD cards up to 32GB.

iRist  has a 5-megapixel 720p camera on the right edge of the smartwatch. It also includes an ambient light sensor, which means the display’s brightness can be automatically adjusted depending upon the lighting conditions. The device has a number of utility apps, such as- a pedometer, accelerometer, compass, and a gyroscope. iRist is water and dust resistant, which means it can survive minor splashes, but not prolonged exposures. You can double tap the smartwatch to wake up its display, but one of the main attraction is the custom voice assistant, developed by Intex, that can be used to interact with the iRist smartwatch. iRist also supports on-screen keyboard input.

iRist also has access to Google Play store and many popular apps like WhatsApp and Twitter are already optimized for the smartwatch’s display. It features an inbuilt dallier and apps for common functions like listening to music, watching videos, and sending/receiving messages, and more.

iRist smartwatch  includes 11 watch-in faces that users can choose from, and more can be added only via an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update.
