MCCI ANNOUNCED STRATEGIC PARTNER FOR BANGLADESH INNOVATION SUMMIT & AWARD 2019

In order for innovation to take center stage in Bangladesh – Bangladesh Innovation Conclave (BIC) introduces Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) as Strategic Partner for upcoming Bangladesh Innovation Summit & Award 2019.

The Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) is the oldest and the pre-eminent trade organization of Bangladesh which has membership roll encompassing leading commercial and large industrial organizations of the country, including public sector corporations and local as well as multinational companies. The Chamber provides a wide range of professional services to its members.

The Chamber is represented in many Advisory Councils as well as Committees formed by various ministries of the government of Bangladesh. MCCI maintains effective working relations with development partners, e.g., the World Bank Group, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Asia Foundation etc. Having a long history of joint collaboration and corporate understanding, MCCI interacts regularly with major international trade bodies and many private sector organizations located all over the world.

Bangladesh Innovation Summit & Award 2019 is designed to recognize the vibrant community of innovators – from startups to established companies – and its breakthrough creations and ideas. The initiative aims to build Bangladesh’s economy by acknowledging and rewarding the creative mind fueling innovation within it.

Nominees in the 2nd Bangladesh Innovation Award will undergo a strict evaluation process by peers and leaders from business, civic, and academic communities. Pioneering innovations – whether products, services or processes – will be evaluated on their novelty, market need, economic impact and disruption of the status quo.
