Women in Leadership (WIL) will be organizing the third Women in Leadership (WIL) Fest 2021 in light of International Women’s Day 2021 on 8th and 9thMarch, 2021.
The 6th Inspiring Women Award (IWA) is one of the key components of the fest. Inspiring Women Award aims at recognizing the aspiring and leading women in the corporate sector of Bangladesh, under different categories, and hence identify inspiring role models for women. There’s also a category for men who have advocated and carried out positive and impactful work in women empowerment ‘WOW-Man’. For organizations, WIL is recognizing the business organizations that have taken remarkable initiatives to develop progressive organizational transformation in the last two years. Recognizing the role models will inspire the other aspiring women and organizations to come forward and play their part in the national development stream. We have introduced ‘Inspiring Women Award on Breaking the Glass ceiling this year’. Here WIL is recognizing work that implicitly or explicitly addresses issues of gender inequality or prejudice through the conscious representation of gender such as (Painter, Sales Agency, Receptionists, Government Job, Soldier, etc.). Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) is one of the core partners in materializing the initiatives.
WIL along with its partners will work for the development and emancipation of female professionals subsequently through Bangladesh Women Professional Network (BWPN), and University Engagement for the Leaders of Tomorrow.
All the nominated female professionals will get automatic access to the 5th Women Leadership Summit, where national and international speakers will share their thoughts, insight, and experience on women leadership and collective approach on how to overcome barriers on the career paths.
Inspiring Women Award 2021 is the sixth edition of the endeavor. In the last six years, IWA recognized 152 outstanding women leaders under different categories for their contribution to the corporate sector and the society as a whole.
This year, 6th Inspiring Women Award will recognize the contribution of inspiring and leading women under 18 categories.
