The Spikes Asia Festival 2019 – which will begin from 25 September – is a three-day festival that has been celebrating creativity in the Asia Pacific by building on over 30 years of prestigious Spikes Awards. With the theme “Asia Rising”, this year’s festival will take place at Suntec, Singapore. The Spikes Asia Awards is one of the leading awards for creativity in Asia and the Spikes Asia Festival is packed with forward-thinking seminars by the industry’s most influential figures, networking events, training, exhibitions of the region’s best creative works as well as challenging competitions.
This year, Spikes Asia announced Tiger Beer as the Official Partner for the annual 2019 festival. Tiger Beer, founded in 1932, was Singapore’s first locally brewed beer. The Singaporean brand has the picture of a wild tiger sitting in the logo – a species whose numbers in the wild are dwindling. The beer brand, now available in more than 50 markets worldwide, is invested in efforts to raise the population of the wild tigers as part of its Global CSR program, “Saving Wild Tigers”.
Central to the partnership between Spikes Asia and Tiger Beer is the Young Spikes x Tiger Beer #RareStripes Competition. The aim of the competition is to produce creative ideas that will spread awareness and support the “Saving Wild Tigers” program. The competition will take submissions from APAC countries and the shortlisted teams will compete during the festival from 25 to 27 September. The finalists will be able to gain recognition within the creative industry worldwide and the winners will get the opportunity to work with Tiger Beer in bringing their concept to life.
Joe Pullos, Festival Director of Spikes Asia and Venus Teoh, International Brands Director for Tiger Beer both expressed their pleasure of working together in elevating “the region’s creativity onto the world stage” and “empower emerging talent.”
More about the #RareStripes Competition
The #RareStripes Competition is in line with Tiger Beer’s belief that great ideas are born on the streets and not in the boardroom. Thus, it follows the inspiration of Tiger Beer’s global community for raw talents who carry out their craft in unconventional ways.
