Unilever Consumer Care Limited holds 50th AGM

Unilever Consumer Care Limited successfully held its 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 11:00 am on Tuesday, 16th May 2023. At the meeting, shareholders approved the Directors’ Report, Auditor’s Report and Audited Accounts for the year ended 31st December 2022, where the declaration of final dividend of total 300% (240% being cash dividend i.e., BDT 24.00 per share of BDT 10 each and 60% being stock dividend i.e., 1: 0.60 bonus share) was announced.

The revenue of Unilever Consumer Care decreased by 1.1 percent last year, while gross profit grew 1.4 percent.

In pursuance to Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission’s directive, the AGM was conducted through Digital Platform.

The meeting was presided over by Mr. Masud Khan, the Company’s Chairman. Company’s Managing Director, Mr. KSM Minhaj and other Directors namely Mr. Zaved Akhtar, Ms. Zinnia Tanzina Huq, Mr. S.O.M. Rashedul Quayum, Mr. Md. Abul Hossain, Mr. Mohsin Uddin Ahmed and Mr. Reazul Haque Chowdhury and Company Secretary Mr. Md. Naharul Islam Molla along with Company’s Statutory Auditors, Independent scrutinizer and a good number of Shareholders attended the meeting using the digital platform.

Mr. Masud Khan, Chairman of Unilever Consumer Care Limited, said, “In 2022, our strategic efforts were based on our commitment to ensuring accessibility and affordability of our products through innovative sales channels, awareness initiatives, and pricing strategies. Despite challenges in global food and energy supply line, I am proud that our company showed exemplary resilience to overcome the hurdles. In pursuit of ensuring accessible nutrition to the consumers, we upscaled the door-to-door campaign to raise awareness. These activities resulted in the rise of Horlicks’ household penetration from 15.9% in 2020 to 26.3% in 2022.”
