The music of our youth stays with us throughout our lives. It is an innate impact on our hearts and minds. It is what connects with our journeys, voices our emotions, and leaves an impression on our spirits. And with the aim of doing just that, the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) in collaboration with Banglalink, organized an evening of incredible musical performances in the Banglalink Youth Fest, on the 2nd of August 2023, at the AIUB campus premises.
The program was initiated by a series of nostalgic and melodious Bengali and English numbers by APAC. Their talent and passion reverberated throughout the amphitheater with the enthusiastic energy of the crowd, as they all sang along, cheering the APAC on. In the end, they were joined on stage by alumni members of APAC, Sarwar Alam Shakil, Lead Guitarist and Musician (2012-14) and Md. Sajid Rahman, President (2014-16), who put on an incredible performance together with the existing members of the club, leading up to the highlight of the show – AvoidRafa, one of the most popular youth icons in the band music industry of Bangladesh. They took to the stage and instantly had the crowd applauding, cheering for encores as some of the band’s fan-favorites music echoed all around the campus, revitalizing the student community altogether.
The Banglalink Youth Fest was a great success, not just with the concert, but with their activation booths and career-talk seminar as well, which were also arranged as a part of the initiative. The entire program showcased the drive and caliber of the youth of Bangladesh.
