With the mission of “Inspiring the Nation’s Future”,Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) held a day-long festival, DCCI Presents Bangladesh YouthFest, at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST), Sylhet. The festival held a number of programs engaging the University students of Sylhet division.
Presented by Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), Bangladesh YouthFest is a unique endeavor to inspire the university students to prepare themselves for a global market.
The festival was graced by Dr. Md Rashed Talukder, Student Welfare Advisor, SUST; and Aminul Haque Bhuyan, VC, SUST with their welcome notes.
Comprising of multiple programs, the festival conducted jury sessions for short-listed ideas for a month-long competition which had started early in February. Shortlisted teams presented their ideas across seven categories before a jury panel of regional and local experts. After the jury session, the winning team in each category was announced and prize money of BDT 25,000 was handed over. Winning teams from Sylhet round will participate in the final round which will take place in Dhaka in April 1st & 2nd, 2016.

Alongside the jury sessions, lecture series and knowledge sessions were highlighted segments which connected both regional and national experts with the students, with a view to sharing insights. Along with these, successful startup stories and creative campaigns from Cannes Lions and Commward 2015 were also showcased in order to make the fest more engaging.
Knowledge Sessions regarding skills and requirements of corporate sectors were conducted by Kazi Md. Shafikur Rahman, Consultant, E2K/ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo; Shariyar Huda, Deputy Manager, Marketing of Edison Group and Mr. Shubhasish Barua, Deputy Senior Vice President, Green Delta Insurance, among others. The session was attended by around 350 students.
Lecture Series was attended by 600 students from various universities conducted by, among others, Dr. Kamal Ahmed Chowdhury, Dept. of Sociology, SUST; Nazim Farhan Chowdhury, MD, Adcomm; Farzana Chowdhury, MD, Green Delta Insurance Ltd.; Mofazzal Karim, Former Secretary & Ambassador; Dr. M. Farashuddin, Chairman, Board of Trustees, East West University & Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank; and Prof. Dr. Ferhat Anwar, IBA, DU.
