For a lot of people, the stock text messaging apps or social media sites that are available in their smart phones might be all what they need to communicate and explore. But for millions, and perhaps billions, these applications are not enough, because today, it’s not only about communicating, it’s not just a mere fad. Instead, it’s a lifestyle, a part and parcel of life.
In the preceding few years in Bangladesh, the mobile phone users have migrated in masses from traditional phones to smartphones, only because these have multimedia capabilities and access to the internet. One of the key driving forces for this adoption of the smartphone is the mobile applications that actually allow users to customize their phones with the components, experience and the features that they want for them. As the number of people who use smartphones increase, the number of mobile app users increase as does the number of mobile app downloads.
From my experience with the trending mobile apps, I enjoyed using a couple of them out of which the Wowbox app stood out as the most user friendly and convenient lifestyle application. Telenor Digital in partnership with the country’s leading operator Grameenphone launched this mobile application which facilitates its users with a wide range of fringe benefits ranging from offers, discounts, games, lifestyle tips and what not. Since my experience with the Wowbox app, I have been finding it handy for any of my queries, be it any discount offer that I’m looking for at stores, or any skincare tips for the scorching heat of summer or maybe reviews on a product that I was eagerly waiting for. Not to forget the games that work well as my favorite pastime when I am bored or have nothing to do in particular.
Moreover, to my utter surprise, Wowbox also organizes a lot of helpful workshops, events and activations that add a better dimension and value to my user experience. Lately, I was invited to a makeup tutorial workshop conducted by one of the leading Makeup Artists of Bangladesh, Navin Ahmed, which was conducted by Wowbox team at Hotel Washington in Dhaka. It was indeed an experience all the worthwhile as I got enlightened on all the hacks and tricks of makeup girls usually are not very aware of.
Another experience that compelled me to be more impressed with the wide ranges of services by the Wowbox app was an activation event that took place few months back in my University. The enthusiastic Wowbox team dropped by BRAC University with exciting offers that students could not refuse! There were fun filled games called Stack the Cup and Trippy Tap for everyone at the campus with great rewards like smartphones, Wowbox T-shirts and mugs. Students were enthralled by their experience with Wowbox and ergo, they had mostly turned into potential users of the Wowbox app.
Besides, as an avid user of Facebook without which one cannot usually think of a social life, like everyone, I also follow the updates on it regularly. Since I tend to use the Wowbox app almost every day for my regular concerns, I also keep a tab on their Facebook page. From what I have found and experienced, their Facebook page, especially their social media presence is equally impressive, perhaps top notch. Whenever I scroll my newsfeed, I get regular updates on sports, entertainment, news, tips and tricks and a wide range of relevant content articles redirected to the application itself that let me explore further and beyond.
Today our lifestyle is changing dramatically by the way we use mobile phone and mobile apps. I doubt that anyone expected it to be like this. We underestimated the role mobile phones might play in our lives, but technology advancement changed our view and created new rules with new customs, rituals and routines. Out of all these super hype creating applications, I would probably keep the Wowbox app on my top priority list as it has really impressed me with how it privileges its valued users with outstanding experience. I would most definitely vouch for it so try it today and let it change your perceived notion of mobile applications and how they design our lifestyles.
