The Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Conference & Awards (AMES) has launched an academy programme that places effectiveness at the core of brand communications and strategy. The Academy will equip participants (aged 30 and under) with the skills and best practices to drive brand and business growth.
Topics include: generating disruption, differentiation and growth through smart consumer targeting, segmentation and insights; developing, evaluating and optimizing effective creative work; analysis of real AMES case studies; measuring and demonstrating effectiveness.
The Academy is guided by Andy Wilson, Head of Strategy for BBDO and Proximity Asia. Andy leads strategy from the front and is personally heavily engaged with campaign development on a selection of accounts, including Visa, Fonterra, FedEx and Johnson & Johnson. His track record of success has seen him extend his remit from an Asia-Pacific role to a global role. Under his leadership, BBDO and Proximity was the most awarded network at the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Awards. He has won countless effectiveness awards for his clients and was named Asia-Pacific account person of the year in 2011, and Asia-Pacific planner of the year in 2012 and 2015.
Commenting on his appointment as Academy Chair, Andy says, “Our industry has a single mission, to add value to our clients’ business. So I can’t think of a more important initiative than to improve our collective skills at driving and demonstrating the amazing value we can provide when we are at our strategic and creative best. I’m really looking forward to being the inaugural Academy Chair, and can’t wait to meet the brightest and best new talent.”
Andrea Hayes, Festivals Director, says “Recognising the importance of marketing effectiveness is critical to the success of businesses today, and it is vital that the future generation of marketing leaders embraces a strong culture of strategic thinking. The Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Academy is an essential immersion for those who wish to adopt a strong effectiveness culture throughout their agencies.”
Alongside exclusive in-class presentations from industry leaders, the academy also benefits from selected sessions from the main Conference content programme. The cost for attending the Academy is SGD 450. For details on how to take part, please visit www.ames.asia.
