Envoy Textiles Limited had its 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) with significant leadership and board changes in a milestone session. Tanvir Ahmed was unanimously re-elected as Managing Director (MD) for another five years by shareholders, who gave him 10 crore 63 lakh 83 thousand 178 votes. Mr. Kutubuddin Ahmed, founder and chairman of Envoy Textiles Limited, chaired this hybrid AGM at Gulshan Shooting Club in Dhaka on Thursday at 11 am. The AGM also reaffirmed the company’s strategic direction, ensuring strong leadership.
Tanvir Ahmed, the new Managing Director, remarked, “Envoy Textiles Limited is the first LEED Platinum Denim Mill with several national and international honours. Under new strategic leadership, we will move forward with renewed vigour for a better future.”

Following the completion of his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the UK, Mr. Ahmed returned to Bangladesh to contribute to the family business, swiftly making a notable impact on the local business landscape. His journey is punctuated by remarkable achievements, including serving as a director of the India–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IBCCI), receiving recognition as the Youngest Commercially Important Person (CIP) in 2014, securing directorial role in the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), and nomination as a board director of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI), not to mentioned being named as the MD of the Year 2023 by C-Suites of Bangladesh Brand Forum.
