Team ‘Boom Boom’ from ‘University of Dhaka- Institute of Business Administration’ became Champions of Unilever BizMaestros 2015, beating 159 teams from campuses across the Country.
Bizmaestros is a real life business competition by the largest FMCG Company of Bangladesh and 3 times Employer of Choice*, Unilever Bangladesh. The 6th season of Unilever BizMaestros began with Unilever conducting campus sessions across 12 campuses. Through the sessions, Unilever was seeking the best talent from each campus to not only compete in Bizmaestros but also take part in the global competition ‘Unilever Future Leader’s League 2016’, in London, UK.
IBA, University of Dhaka, North South University, Independent University –Bangladesh, Jahangir Nagar University, BUET, East West University and Bangladesh University of Professionals were some of the campuses where Unilever conducted its campus engagement sessions. These sessions provided students with the opportunity to meet the leaders of Unilever Bangladesh and connect with them at a more personal level. The students also connected with their alumni at Unilever, understanding the work and environment of Unilever better. Students from other universities participated through Unilever’s facebook page, Unilever Careers.
The semi-finalists of the competition obtained the valuable opportunity to meet the Directors of Unilever Bangladesh through the “Meet the Leaders” session. Each of the 6 functional directors and the Chairman and Managing Director of Unilever Bangladesh, took turns to spend time with the semi-finalists.
For the finale, the teams were required to impress the judges with an innovative idea to promote the new fragrance of Lux soap.Bringing fragrance alive at the POS | Team Boom Boom | BizMaestros ’15
The judges – Zaved Akhtar, Brand Building Director, Unilever Bangladesh, Lee Taylor, Finance Director, Unilever Bangladesh and Mononita Syed Haq, HR Director, Unilever Bangladesh – had a difficult time choosing one winner from the top 3 teams. Ishmam Ahmed Chowdhury, Ayman Sadiq and Sajeed Alam from Team Boom Boom was announced the Champions after much deliberation, with Team ‘Better Call Saul’ from Bangladesh University of Professionals becoming the first runners up and Team ‘Dessert Fox’ from Islamic University of Technology announced 2nd Runners up.
Team Boom Boom’s journey does not end with this Championship title. They will now compete against 90 participants from 30 nations in the Unilever Future Leaders’ League 2016, a global Unilever competition held in London, UK.

The Champions of Unilever Bizmaestros 2014 from Jahangirnagar University had secured the 1st runner up position at Unilever Future Leaders League 2015. Now, Team X has only one way to raise the benchmark – to bring home the Championship title from Unilever Future Leaders’ League 2016.
